    • 4mm hook: 2″ x 2″ swatch = 4 rows of 7 dc

    Finished Size

    • Width 8.5cm x Height 10cm

    Pattern Notes

    • Chains and finishing slip stitches are not included in the stitch count.
    • The last numbers in brackets are the total number of stitches in the round.
    • Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces. eg. (sc, 2sc) would mean sc in first stitch then 2sc in next stitch.
    • Change color while completing the previous stitch.
    • Always start in same stitch as slip stitch.
    • If you have trouble using the MR with fluffy yarn, try making a separate MR with acrylic yarn.

    • Use Green (A) yarn
    • In a MR, ch x 2, dc x 6
    • sl st to first st & ch x 2
    • (6 sts)

    Round 2

    • 2dc x 6
    • sl st to first st & ch x 2
    • (12 sts)

    Round 3

    • (2dc, dc x 2) 4 times
    • sl st to first st & ch x 2
    • (16 sts)

    • Attach safety eyes between R5 & R6, 3 sts visible between them
    • With black thread, sew a mouth over R6, 2 sts wide
    • With Pink (C) yarn, sew cheeks over R6, align with outer edges of the eyes

    • Use Brown (B) yarn
    • With the tree upside-down, count 4 sts across R7, then sl st in the 5th st
    • ch x 5 then start in second ch from hook

    • Use Yellow (D) yarn

    • Sew the star to the Christmas tree, covering R1 – R4
    • With Pink (C) yarn, tie a hanging loop to the top of the tree
