Abbreviations

USA Terminology (U.K. translation)

• ch – Chain
• dc – Double crochet
• hdc – Half double crochet
• sc – Single crochet
• 2sc – 2 sc in 1 space (increase)
• sl st – Slip stitch
• st/sts – Stitch/Stitches
• tr – Treble crochet

Pattern notes

• Chains and slip stitches are not included in stitch count.
• Keep starting chains tight, or go down a hook size to avoid gaps
• Start every round in the same stitch as the slip stitch.

• ch x 13 then start in second ch from hook
• 5sc, sc x 10, 5sc
• sc x 10 in opposite side chains
• sl st to first st & ch x 1
• (30 sts)

Round 2

• Start in same stitch as previous sl st
• 2sc x 5, sc x 10, 2sc x 5, sc x 10
• sl st to first st & ch x 1
• (40 sts)

Round 3

Start in same stitch as previous sl st

• *In the next 4 sts:
• sc & hdc, dc & tr, tr & dc, hdc & sc
• sl st x 2
• In the next 4 sts:
• sc & hdc, dc & tr, tr & dc, hdc & sc
• sl st x 10*
• Repeat between *’s: 1 more time
• sl st to first st & fasten off
• (32 sts & 25 sl st)
