- 2sc – 2 sc in 1 space (increase)
- sl st – Slip stitch
- st/sts – Stitch/Stitches
- tr – Treble crochet
Pattern notes
- Chains and slip stitches are not included in stitch count.
- Keep starting chains tight, or go down a hook size to avoid gaps
- Start every round in the same stitch as the slip stitch.

Dog Bone Applique
Round 1
- ch x 13 then start in second ch from hook
- 5sc, sc x 10, 5sc
- sc x 10 in opposite side chains
- sl st to first st & ch x 1
(30 sts)
Round 2
- Start in same stitch as previous sl st
- 2sc x 5, sc x 10, 2sc x 5, sc x 10
- sl st to first st & ch x 1
(40 sts)
Round 3
Start in same stitch as previous sl st
- *In the next 4 sts:
- sc & hdc, dc & tr, tr & dc, hdc & sc
- sl st x 2
- In the next 4 sts:
- sc & hdc, dc & tr, tr & dc, hdc & sc
- sl st x 10*
- Repeat between *’s: 1 more time
- sl st to first st & fasten off
