The free Bunny kids onesie crochet pattern is designed to fit children aged 2 to 10 years old. My doll sized bunny onesie was such a huge hit I just had to design a matching version for toddlers and children! I also have a free crochet pattern for a matching bunny sleep mask available.

The bunny kids onesie is a fun outfit for boys and girls. The hooded onesie comes in 8 kids sizes for children aged 2-10 years. The hooded onesie buttons up the front and has floppy bunny ears and a pompom rabbit tail. The jumpsuit makes a great dress up costume for Easter or a all-year-round sleepsuit.

How to crochet a bunny onesie for children

The bunny kids onesie crochet pattern is easy skill level. You will need to know all your basic crochet stiches. You’ll also need to know how to increase and decrease. The kids onesie is made in one-piece and the bunny ears, tail, and buttons are sew on at the end. Overall its a very fun and easy crochet pattern. The pattern includes sizes for ages 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, and 9-10 years. As all children are different there’s also helpful tips throughout the pattern to tell you how to alter the length of the torso, legs and sleeves if you need to. To make the bunny kids onesie I used Aran (weight 4) yarn and a I used a 5mm crochet hook. Completing your gauge swatch is essential for this project. Being just a row or a stitch out will result in your onesie not fitting. After you complete your gauge swatch adjust your hooks size if you need to. I also recommend checking your gauge on the sleepsuit after you complete each section to ensure your tension is consistent.   • Use yarn colour A (white)
  • Attach yarn to 1st skipped st of arm hole & ch 1. Start on RS (WS,RS,WS,RS,WS,RS,WS)

  • Sew a pompom to the back of the onesie to complete. Weave in all ends.
