Thanks for checking out my doll pocket shawl crochet pattern. To begin, anyone who is part of a crochet community will probably have heard of the huge pocket shawl trend that’s been going on lately. With this in mind I came to the conclusion that a fashion doll simply must have the latest fashion trend! This little doll crochet pocket shawl is designed to fit 12” fashion dolls. It’s made out of 1 colour and features a simple yet effective pattern.

How to crochet a pocket shawl for dolls

The fashion doll pocket shawl is a beginner friendly crochet pattern and it’s super easy to make. It’s a great little project for using up scraps of yarn and works up really quickly. You’ll only need to know basic stitches including single and double crochet. In addition you’ll also need very basic sewing skills to attach the pockets. I used DK (weight 3) yarn and a 4mm crochet hook to make the pocket shawl.

ch – Chain

st/sts – Stitch/Stiches

sc – Single crochet

hdc – Half double crochet

Gauge / Tension

Gauge is important as everyone crochets with a different tension. If your 2” swatch doesn’t match up you can change your hook size to suit your tension.

4mm hook – 10 rows of 8sc

Finished size – 11.5” x 2”

Pattern notes

I do not count chains in my stitch count.

Numbers in brackets are the number of rows/stitches.

Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces eg. (sc, inc) would mean sc in first stitch then inc in next stitch.

Supplies

You will need the following supplies to complete the project (links will take you directly to my recommended supplies on love crafts)
