Thanks for checking out my Halloween pumpkin bunting crochet pattern. After making some crochet pumpkins I decided to make some bunting to match and decorate my home for Halloween. Although I used my bunting for Halloween it would also make a great decoration for thanksgiving and autumn/fall. Of course you can make as many or as little as you like. But I chose to make 6 for my bunting so it fitted my fireplace nicely.
Halloween pumpkin bunting description
The pumpkins measure 11cm wide and 9cm tall. The pumpkins can also be used as appliqués although they are a little puffy so you might like to add some toy stuffing underneath and have a 3D appliqué. The appliqués can be sewn onto almost any of your crochet creations to create an autumn/fall or Halloween theme. Some people have simply sewn on a hanging loop to make decorations, others have even sewn two pumpkins together to make a soft toy. Be sure to you tag me online to show me what you do with yours!
How to crochet pumpkin bunting
The pumpkin bunting is crocheted out of DK (weight 3) yarn. On this occasion I used 3 different colour yarns, orange, mustard and brown, but you can of course use any colours you wish. Additionally I used a 4mm crochet hook for the pumpkin and after that a 3mm hook for the little leaf. The crochet pattern is beginner friendly. To clarify you will need to know basic crochet stitches and you’ll also need to know how to increase and decrease. I’d also like to point out that this pattern involves very minimal sewing, you will need a tapestry needle to sew on the leaf.
