Thanks for checking out free Halloween witch hat crochet pattern. To begin, I’m not a massive fan of Halloween. Saying that I don’t want my children to think I’m a completely boring mum. With this in mind I decided to make a little effort this Halloween. When I say little, I mean little! This is the smallest witch hat I could get away with. The crochet witch hat hair accessory paired with a black jumper and heavy makeup made me look the part. On the plus side I didn’t have to spend a fortune or put hours of effort in to take part. I think I can safely say that’s the ultimate goal for most busy mothers.
Crochet witch hat description
The first thing you’ll notice is the witches hat is attached to a hair clip. If you don’t have a hair clip handy you could also easily sew it to an elastic. The completed Halloween hair accessory measures just 9cm wide and 6cm tall.
How to crochet a small witches hat
So the witch hat crochet pattern is easy skill level. You will need to know basic crochet stitches as well as being able to increase & decrease. You’ll also need to do a simple colour change. Additionally, basic sewing skills are essential to attach your witches hat to your hair accessory. Overall it is a very quick and easy project and uses very little yarn. Speaking of yarn, I used DK (weight 3) yarn with a 3.5mm crochet hook to complete the project.
