Crochet Patterns for Kids

Free Lemon Rose Headband Crochet Pattern
Copyright © Hookfully

Thanks for checking out my Lemon rose headband crochet pattern. This cute baby and children’s headband is named after the stitch I used, the lemon peel stitch. I originally designed the headband for my daughters baby doll (pattern here). However, I loved it so much I decided to make it in more sizes! You can now make this headband from preemie baby, right up to age 6 children. Please note that this free crochet pattern is for age 3-6 months. All 8 sizes are available on my premium crochet pattern.

Lemon rose headband description

The Lemon rose headband has a beautiful yet simple texture made using the lemon peel stitch. Its topped with a pretty rose. The premium version of this crochet pattern has 8 sizes including preemie, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-6 years. You can try before you buy with the free crochet pattern for 3-6 months below.

How to crochet a baby headband

The Lemon rose headband crochet pattern is easy skill level and would also be suitable for confident beginners. You will need to know all your basic crochet stitches to complete the pattern. There is minimal sewing involved to make the flower and attach it to your headband. To make the headband I used DK (weight 3) yarn. I also used a 4mm crochet hook but you may need to adjust your hook after completing your gauge swatch. Completing your gauge swatch is highly recommended before starting your project to ensure the sizing is correct. The headbands use up to 35 yards of yarn.
