Thanks for checking out my Puffy moon wall hanging crochet pattern. This super cute moon and star hanging decoration would look super cute hanging from a nursey wall or even from the side of a cot. My children have taken theirs up to their bedroom and hung it of their bunk bed!
Puffy moon wall hanging description
The moon shaped wall hanging is made using the puff stitch giving it a beautiful texture. Once the decoration is made it’s already very puffy, so there’s no need to add any stuffing to this one. The moon also comes with a little star to complete the night time theme. The Moon measures approximately 18cm high by 11cm wide.
How to crochet a puffy moon wall hanging
The Moon wall hanging crochet pattern is easy-intermediate skill level. As well as knowing your basic crochet stiches, you’ll also need to know how to make a puff stitch. If you haven’t used the puff stitch before, don’t worry. Its easier than it looks and the pattern includes instructions on the how to make the special stitch. The moon is made on one piece, and the star is made separately. The only sewing involved in this pattern is to attach the star to the moon. To make the moon wall hanging I used Aran (weight 4) yarn and a 5mm crochet hook. The crochet moon and star uses approximately 45g (68m/75yd).
