The waffle stitch stitch tutorial is one of my all time favourites! Even though it looks textured and complex, it’s actually a pretty easy stitch to master. In fact, the simple 2 row repeat only uses the double crochet stitch. The waffle stitch is a solid crochet stitch with no gaps making it perfect for making warm items. The modern crochet stitch is suitable for pretty much everyone’s taste. The texture is beautiful and as the name suggests, it closely resembles the look of a waffle! The waffle stitch is non-reversible, the back will look different from the front.

How to crochet the waffle stitch

Its a simple two row repeat and to complete the tutorial you will need to know the double crochet stitch, and you will need to know how to work into the front posts.
