Bubble Burst Fidget Blanket Crochet Pattern

    Bubble burst Fidget blanket description

I have found my daughter has been calmer winding down in the evenings as she has something to occupy her while cuddling up with a movie.

The fidget blanket can be made as big as you like, and kids can have fun popping the big bubbles, or the little ones in the border.

The bubble burst fidget blanket is made up of granny square style bubbles that can be popped out either side.

You can make as many squares as you like to make a bigger or smaller bubble blanket. The border is made up of smaller bursting bubbles made using the popcorn stitch.

How to crochet a fidget blanket

The bubble burst blanket free crochet pattern is an easy-intermediate skill level project. You will need to know all the basic crochet stitches plus the popcorn stitch. Don’t worry if you haven’t done them before, instructions for the popcorn stitch are included and they’re easy enough when you get the hang of them.

The bubble squares are ‘joined as you go’ and they are crocheted together, not sewn. To make the bubble burst blanket I used aran/worsted yarn and a 5mm crochet hook. I used one 100g skein of each color, plus one extra skein for a little extra on the border and joining the columns.
